So good. Rice Burgers super flavours. This time round with pics of the fried chicken, next level and the seaweed fries, yum!
Take the escalator down 2 floors from the street level. Will always come by when I’m in Sydney. One of the best burgers I’ve had! Fried chicken is also awesome. The burger uses rice and seaweed instead of a bun. The seaweed stayed crispy thru the whole meal and holds it shape well and never crumbled. The fries were hot and crispy and milkshake uses Valrhona chocolate & miso to give it a slight hint of saltiness which was very refreshing.
I ordered the Sushi salmon burger and it was amazing! I use to visit this place 5/6 years ago when it was located in Pyrmont at the Star and I honestly can say it’s still delicious to this day! The quality of the salmon, fresh lettuce and radish and a delicious sauce to accompany the salmon. Amazing. The chips were also lovely and the portion was very generous for a regular size.
I would also say that the pricing is reasonable too! I paid $24 ( burger and chips + dipping sauce) and to some that may seem crazy but essentially you’re paying for the quality of the food, location and friendly hospitality Definitely coming back every so often!!
Location is a little challenging to find. At the entrance of Hunter Connection from Wynyard Station. Store is clean and well presented. Staff are very courteous. We ordered the salmon burger, hamburger, cheeseburger and the fried chicken. Food was delicious and well priced. We loved the novelty that instead of bread they use crispy sushi rice and nori. Orders are freshly prepared and served hot. Definitely coming back.
Sushi burger was SO GOOD omg the crispy rice was perfect, now I don’t want to eat hamburger bread buns anymore I just want rice !!! Cheeseburger rice burger was delicious, very saucy and juicy, lots of pickles just the way I like it. The fried chicken was very crispy but way too oily, not a vibe. Seating was nice too, it’s a vibe
Sushi burgers done well! Great sauces, texture and flavour from the burgers. The rice “buns” are crispy and definitely complement the seaweed well.
Only downside is the portion is not exactly filling, especially considering its cost. But it’s cool to try for the sake of it. Good for a quick feed.
This is the only rice burger joint in Sydney. The price is a tad high but it can be justified by the quality of the ingredients. Food was served (really) hot - it can get messy with the burger (melt cheese and sauce can go anywhere) and fried chicken (so hot that you have to hold it with paper napkins), as with any burger or fried chicken, only to a greater extent.
First time visiting this restaurant since the one in Market City closed. Originally wanted to have the fried chicken (which I highly recommend), but the wait time was too long. Decided to go for the trust Miso Salmon and Chocolate Miso shake. All taste the same and cooked well. Hopefully next time can have the chicken!
